Christmas Canister Soldiers

With Christmas, comes a fun opportunity to let your creative domains go unbridled. Apart from tree, wreaths, and snow crafts, we can come up with much of whatever. Creating Christmas canister soldiers is one such activity that can be engaging and pleasing.

Preparing the canisters: Clean the canisters by rubbing alcohol. Let them dry completely.
Painting: Paint the lids of two of the canisters black and let them dry. Color the third canister red and its lid gold. The red canister will serve as the hat with its lid forming the tip. Below it will be the face, followed by two vertically adhered black canisters.
Face: On the oval wood piece, with a pencil, draw the face of the soldier. Paint the doll head nude and let it dry. Fix it at the base of the red canister.
Arms: Glue the wooden pegs on the either side of a black canister as arms. This black canister will be fixed at the base of the face.
Gloves: Paint the ends of the attached pegs in red and white. Keep the tip of the pegs golden. Let the paint dry completely.
